Rubelli won another prestigious prize, the EDIDA 2020, for capsule collection "Peter Marino for Venetian Heritage" in the "Fabrics" category!
After getting the NYCxDESIGN Award for the category “Residential Fabrics” last May, now it’s the turn of the ELLE DECO INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD, a much coveted international prize.
ELLE DECORATION international network will award Rubelli "Peter Marino for Venetian Heritage" during an online ceremony on Thursday 25 June at 7 pm (Italian Time).
With this fabrics collection, Peter Marino reveals a deep connection to Venice and his obsession with light, an inspiration that Rubelli has been able to recreate in three fascinating fabrics.
This is not only good design! Sales will partially benefit Venetian Heritage in supporting the restoration of Venetian works of art.
The collection offers three silk Jacquards which sought to reflect the city’s unique position on the water and how light reflects off the water’s surface. In Lucente irregular lines break the sheen of the silk satin background like small waves on still water.
In Tiepolo a relief is achieved through the matelassé technique, and the surface shines with endless shades of color.
Marino is a joyful sequence of animated curves, reminiscent of a dynamic sea.
