Warm Nordic and Maharam Present Mid-Modern Reunion: Chapter II at 3daysofdesign 2026
June 9, 2026
Warm Nordic returns to 3daysofdesign 2026 with Mid-Modern Reunion: Chapter II, the second chapter of a design tribute launched during last year’s festival. Developed in collaboration with Maharam, one of the leading names in textile design, the exhibition continues to explore the legacy of some of the most influential figures of the modernist era.
The project pays homage to a generation of designers who helped define modern living, including Hans Olsen, Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, and Verner Panton. Their innovative approaches to furniture, interiors, and textiles continue to inspire contemporary design and remain relevant decades after their original creations.
At the center of this year’s exhibition are Hans Olsen’s iconic Fried Egg Chair and Orange Chair, presented in Maharam textiles inspired by the same creative period that shaped these celebrated designs. The combination highlights the enduring dialogue between furniture design and textile innovation, bringing together historic references and contemporary craftsmanship.
A key highlight of Mid-Modern Reunion: Chapter II is the exclusive preview of an upcoming Maharam textile designed by Hella Jongerius. The presentation offers visitors an early look at a new chapter in the evolution of textile design, reinforcing the exhibition’s focus on the connection between heritage and innovation.
Taking place from June 10 to 12, 2026, at Cafeen in Copenhagen as part of 3daysofdesign, the exhibition provides a unique opportunity to experience a curated encounter between iconic furniture, pioneering textiles, and the creative vision that continues to shape contemporary design culture.
